Saw the swagger bag at FP today. The top zip has a built in "stopper" or you can undo it so the zipper will breakaway. Nice bag not my style though. It came in 3 sizes and 3 colors: black, bone/beige color and beige/bone outlined in black.

I guess in one way they don't have anything to learn from the Peanuts fiasco. They sold out the line, got their asking price, doesn't matter if there was enough to go around or a fair distribution. Coach made it's money and created a "buzz."

Next time people will jump on it to be in fear of being left out. Well, some people...

Well, yes, Coach is making it clear this time, that when they say limited, they mean it. The customers are so used to their releasing the line multiple times, both in full-price stores and outlets, that they're trained to wait. We can only see if that's how they'll carry it from now on!

Nope. Not my cup of tea. Not that they are ugly bags (although some of them are pretty close), just that Coach is having a major identity crisis.

None of the bags made me go 'Wow I wish I can have that bag ,and be like that 16 year old with neon hair in the ad!'

They can limit their quantities all they want. Play hard to get, Coach, I'm sure you'll get the customers you want. Take those people from LV or Gucci or Prada or whatever brand that's high-end! You can definitely compete with them! You are already using their designs!

Lizmil, I think they sold out on the basis of the forum, which is obviously easily done with a small number of units. However nobody I talk to is even clued in about their LE items. I carried a bag from the Vevers fall line last weekend and had some compliments, but most people weren't even aware it is Coach. Reminds me of the Legacy Thompson collection that was released and even a lot of SAs didn't even know about it despite being on the website. I guess it depends on the area. Most people don't seem to care in mine. They want basic bags at cheap prices.

As for jumping out of fear, yeah I did that SO many times, and now I'm stuck with a lot of that stuff that isn't even worth a fraction of what I paid. If it were basic signature stuff, I would probably have my family and friends begging for it. Don't get me wrong, though, in some cases, I still love my bags and could not see parting with them, but the problem is I also have a lot I did jump at just because they were limited or I thought they were(till Coach made more). So been there, done that. They can create all the buzz they want by offering 25 of each item, and they can completely turn their ship around, but I will still only jump if I'm sure I love it and will continue to. I'm definitely NOT the type of customer they want anymore. I used to love trying to complete collections with "limited" styles, but I've lost the collector mentality for sure, especially with Coach!
