I really like this blue bag:

***That's the one I like, too. I think it's the only one I really like, but the green crossbody I saw gives me hope there will be some good colors. The crossbody is too small and impractical for me, but if these colors are any indication, I'll be looking for them in larger sized bags.

The coats and shoes...Ugh! The cartoon bags look like something a Hello Kitty connoisseur would just "have to have".

The more I look at the creature items the more they remind me of anime characters.

***Yep. I used to live in Asia and I've travelled extensively there. The creatures are right up their alley and they'll probably fly off the shelves from Tokyo to Thailand.

Here, I think they'll go to women who like trendy statment bags and the very young with rich parents. lol

If you think that's crazy, you should see what Moschino did recently. McDonald's couture, anyone?

You know, I remember seeing that type of red and yellow "M" design in a Vogue issue not long ago, and thinking, "Wow, that kinda looks like a McDonald's happy meal logo." On one hand, I'm pleased that I was right ... it means my my pop-culture radar is working. Yet at the same time, oddly horrified.

The red and yellow stuff is workable though. It's not overt. But some of those candy wrapper dresses? If you scroll down further? I'm sorry, but my first thought was literally, "non-traditional materials challenge from Project Runway."

oh my, those are horrid! So far for Spring, Diane von Furstenburg is winning for me, check it out at dvf.com for some actual wearable fashion! I'm hoping to have lost enough weight by spring for one of the dresses :smile1:

Just fyi, there's a nice article on DVF in the Sept. issue of Vogue. I was literally reading it today while waiting to pick up daughter from school. It's an excerpt from DVF's book, written in the first person. Very interesting.

I, myself, AM a Hello Kitty Connoisseur AND I do not want one of these bags, shoes or coats in the least.
I am 41 years old and have MANY HK bags and have an entire room FULL of HK things.
Just because they put a critter and Snoopy on a bag does not mean that everyone will "have to have" it. I could easily have one of each of these if I wanted but No Thank You.
I don't know what you think a "Hello Kitty Connoisseur" is but apparently you think wrong.

We all have our own likes and dislikes - this is what makes the world go around.

I find it interesting how some feel the need to be so emphatic in their negative comments. Interesting and amusing at the same time.

I'm not a fan of putting characters on my bags, but there are many who do.

And I've also learned not to say I will not ever buy a certain style of bag because I've done that with a couple so far - **cough** Phoebe and Duffles ** cough**

Tastes change and evolve as we do. Never say never.

I said the same about Phoebe lol!

I don't want any of the character bags. I'm personally not attracted to that. I like Hello Kitty btw. ;)

Wow wow wow! I haven't purchased a designer bag in YEARS. I have since sold most of my Coach just because I felt they were boring. I'm coming back though. This new collection is amazing and so different.

Definitely getting the tote with the blindfold bunny. Can't wait to see what else the creatures are on. I'm impressed!

+1. Let's get weird!

True, true! :roflmfao:

I used to say I'd never buy multiples of the same bag, but I have 4 Boroughs and 1 more on the horizon!

I used to say I didn't like LV (especially monogram!) but I have 5 monogram bags now and I LOVE them all!

So...I never say never!

Agreed, I've been in the same boat! I swore Phoebe and Borough weren't for me, and now...yeah. :graucho:

I think the general message (not directed at you, Luv2Shop) is that there's a big difference between making harsh comments like "That's ugly", "I hate that", "What a disaster" and "Who on earth would possibly buy that", rather than simply saying "That's not my style" and moving on.

The beautiful thing about this forum is that there's a HUGE variety of tastes and preferences, so saying "That's ugly" could be the equivalent of calling someone's baby ugly... :p

Of course, everyone can express their opinion however they wish ~ and the handful of brand new posters who have come in right out of the gate with some VERY strong words will soon learn ~ people's reactions to those posts will be based on the choices that are made.

Amen! Fashion is for expressing ourselves & as we're all beautifully individual it's lovely to see so many choices available. That said, I am secretly jumping up & down to see some actual shoulder bags return - crossbodies & satchels just don't work for me.

Everyone on tPF is honestly, absolutely, 100% sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt that PCE is six feet under right? I have to have the Mini stud large wristlet (yea, that is all, for now ) and I just cannot get myself to do it without PCE. Let's face it, I am a PCE wh_re or errr addict! I have not purchased anything Coach since the last or maybe even before that...paying full price when I used to get PCE is something I don't want to do but I guess I gotta do.

I don't know if I can ever buy anything without some kind of discount either. I can't think of the last thing I paid full price for, even at other brands.

Luckily there isn't anything I can't live without. I probably would have ordered the feather fob for FP if my SA had shown me a picture when I first heard of them. I loved the burgundy and olive leathers with the grommets but there wasn't a style that was calling to me. I can't believe those are already gone from Coach.com.

I'm having problems believing the limited quantities and not going to the outlets rumors. It seems to me that premier brands that don't have sales keep most styles in stock for very long periods of time. It doesn't make good business sense to make a much smaller quantity that is gone within a few months because even if they sell them all at full price, the overall profit will be less. Then they have to spend more money producing more styles than they would have if they kept the same styles around for longer.

Keep an eye on department stores. I got my Soft Borough for 25% off at Macy's, and my Grommet Duffle on sale at Nordstrom. Just because Coach isn't doing PCE doesn't mean you won't be able to find your goodies at a discount *somewhere*! :smile1:
