Hi,

I just bought a coach rogue 25 and it comes with a tag but no key fob. Is this expected?

I saw a few bags on here and elsewhere and they all have key fobs attached. In addition, when I look at the bottom of my bag, I noticed a few leather padding is missing from the feet of my bag. They appear in others’ reviews.

I feel like they are making a few downgrade changes to the rogue. Please let me know if you have any comments. Or let me know if that’s what you got. It would be helpful if you have the year, color and size as a reference. I’m not sure if they just started this downgrade. I got the fuchsia rogue 25 just yesterday.

I also bought the fuchsia rogue recently. Mine didn’t come with a key fob either. I think most of the newer styles don’t come with one.

You are right...the majority of the new ones don't have the key fob, just the horse & carriage tag. I'm quite sure the Fuchsia one is part of the most recent releases. It's a disappointing change, IMO.

Would you mind posting a picture of the Fuchsia? It caught my eye but I didn’t know what colour the suede was (come on Coach that’s not a small detail) and I have more than enough bags so reason prevailed.

I just bought a 25 too and no key fob. I don't miss the key fob so if they had to make cuts somewhere, I'm glad its there. This bag does feel a tad lighter than my last 25 purchase though. I don't want them to cut back on the leather.

I didn't notice anything different about the bag bottom/feet.

It’s the modification on the recent rogues. Not just rogue 25, regular rogue has the same modification. Coach official website pictures also no longer have the key fob on the bag. Same reason for the missing leather stripe.
I guess we can call this “3rd generation” rogue now. Be honest, i’d prefer they raise the price instead of cutting corners.

I suspect they weren’t selling many bags at full prices. It seems many Coach shoppers are serious about waiting for discounts. So if they weren’t getting full price for even the 1941 bags, they probably had to make cuts in features / quality to keep profitable at the sales prices.

Quality costs money - maybe not Chanel money - but there is only so much they can do at a $400 price point (1941 on sale).

The reason people won’t pay full price is because they trained us not to; they’ve done this to themselves. I bought my first Rogue full price; a Chalk 31. A few weeks later I bought two others half price (Western Whipstitch and Saddle 36). Not long after that, I was able to purchase a ‘never on sale’ Black/Oxblood Tea Rose Rogue 25 at 40% F&F. While I was more than happy to take the sale prices, I never again purchased anything full price. Why would I when Coach taught me not to?

I’ve since added another Tea Rose Rogue 25 and regular Rogue; both were 40-50% off.

I’ve gone on to round out my collection with LV and Dior, so I am obviously up for full-price. I’m just not up for paying $1000 when I know it will be $500 in a couple of months.

Coach had the opportunity to move upmarrket with 1941 and blew it, IMO.

Well said.
I bought my first rogue 31 with tearose and snake skin at full price ($1500+tax) thought it will never go on sale (they did eventually), My most recent rogue purchase was a burgundy prairie rivets rogue at 70% off from outlet, paid $300 for a $1000 bag.
Same thing happens to my Parker bag, once I paid the full price, several months later they are On sale.
I can never pay full price on coach bag anymore, I learned it in a hard way.
