I think you got a weird customer service rep (that happens fairly often). My SA told me what was excluded when I asked, and we were just chatting on the phone, no visit necessary. Someone else got a rep that just gave them the list.

I agree that it IS odd for Coach to exclude some of these new items when you can just hop over to Macy's or L&T and get a discount. I don't get their strategy with that. Is it Preferred Customer because they Prefer their Customers go elsewhere? :laugh:

I went to the Coach store and they told me all the fall collection stuff wasn't eligible even the keychain! Still mad about that. I do wish they had been more clear in the email though. I know in the past they did put in the email and card that Phoebes were excluded. I think that was the first time they did excluded a bag from PCE but this time there were so many items not allowed that I figure they didn't want to turn people off. They should have said select styles only or something.
 
Or the more cynical person would say the promo was to get people to look more closely at their new offerings- with no discount. Maybe they should just have an old-fashioned sale.
 
When I got my Phoebe, it was not yet excluded so I was able to use my PCE. For this current PCE, I was told the runway collection was excluded when I asked. This included the two bags I had my eye on-Ace satchel and Rip & Repair. In the meantime, the department store isn't excluding either one of these, so I will buy from them. It's all Coach, I just follow the discounts.
