Coach Repairs? How long do they take?

Yes it's a Nomad. It was the store that told me to moisturize it once a week when I was dropping off the purse for repairs.
That is so weird and sounds like overkill. AFAIK you're NOT supposed to over moisturize because the leather can't absorb it all and it'll end up being a grimy layer that attracts dirt and traps it between the layers of moisturizer.

Perhaps it was a seasonal employee who misunderstood their training. :(

Thank you for the tip.

I finally got me purse back and I'm not too happy the repairs. I don't think the leather on the strip should look like this and they left some black stuff ( I forgot the proper word for it on the metal part of my handle.

Oh no...
The black stuff is edge coating.
Do you have a picture of the handle before the repair?

I took my coach Eddie in for repairs on Saturday, the thread was coming out on the handle. I have had this bag for 2 years and have not used it much. They charged me $75.00 for the repair. If I did not pay full price for it I never would have left it there. That was probably the only bag I have from Coach that I paid full price for. Never again!

Within the 1 year warranty, they will do free repairs or replace the bag for you. Repairs can take 4-6 weeks. Anything outside of the 1 yr warranty up to 5 years, there will be a fee to repair the bag if it is repairable.

I sent my dakotah crossbody in for repairs, the black on the front hardware all chipped off from opening and closing the bag. It took about 5 weeks to get it back. It came back with all kinds of scratches on it. I sold it, my thought was if the hardware chipped within 6 months it would do it again. It looked horrible chipped and now out of warranty.

So I too just had a repair done on my Rogue 25 with tea rose. Edge coating was cracking on the top edges.
Actually, they just sent it back unrepaired. But no explanation or anything. The staff said there is another 1 year warranty on the parts that were fixed so maybe I'll just send it back at some other time. What a hassle though.

Bumping up the repair thread with my recent disappointment.
I ordered the Madison model at Macy's online store and was extremely excited about it since it was my dream Coach model and I saved a couple of months to get it. Imagine one day I check Macy's and they had this model on sale, so I was quick to order it.

Long story short, I used a utility knife to open the shipping box and later found out that while opening the box I made a thin cut through the back of the bag. To say I was 'saddened' is an understatement. The cut is very very shallow and you cannot see it at all unless the leather is stretched. Since I can't see it, the bag is looking fine (the bag is gorgeous btw). But I am afraid that with time this damage will get worse and I will have a tear at this place.

I am also confident that I made this cut myself after some investigation of the packaging and my memory. Big disappointment re Macy's packaging, the bag was right under the shipping box cardboard without any buffer packaging other than a thin layer of plastic (I cut through it also). I was so angry when I found this cut, this was literally my dream purchase.

Does anyone have recommendations on what to do in this case? I wore the bag a couple of times already, so I am not sure if I can send it back to Macy's. Do you think Coach repair service would do anything about it?

I don't know what they can do to fix it. I probably wouldn't worry about it and just try to enjoy my bag. I might complain to Macy's but I don't know if that would do any good. I've had problems with Macy's before, so much that I've pretty much stopped shopping there.

I just recently figured out why Coach's new boxes have the cardboard flaps overlap. It's to prevent people slicing through the contents like you did.
