I had one in a box, one not in a box. The one in the black box was worse.I assumed there is faulty dye inside the boxes that is causing this. The items I received with stains were in the newer style black boxes where the lid is fully removable.

I also had this problem with my Minnie Mouse Dinky that was shipped directly from JAX. I was really peeved that I paid $500 and got a dirty dustbag. I got it replaced at my local boutique. They told me that it happens when moisture gets in the box. FYI - My bag had NO suede on it but it was packaged in a black box with the lid that comes off.

I am LOL that their excuse is "moisture" when they are shipping out of an extremely humid climate. Figure your materials out!
Really?? They can't figure out a solution? I have been buying inexpensively and second hand, mostly vintage. I can't believe for the money being spent, and I read these posts and you gals spend (and guy lol) $$$, that this *moisture* problem is not being addressed!! That being said, I would really love it to be exposed as a Cheeto/Dorito dust issue. And some jerk manager is making some minimum wage soul work through their break. Okay, so I love drama.I am LOL that their excuse is "moisture" when they are shipping out of an extremely humid climate. Figure your materials out!
