There was quite a discussion about this seller and the fake backpack on ebay's fashion board.

The original buyer had it (un)authenticated and returned it to the seller who called Coach. Seller claims Coach authenticated the bag claiming it was registered with Coach in 2000. This bag with a 1996 date code wasn't even made until 2000 -- yet Coach says it's authentic? And so does the seller.

The returned fake has been relisted again.

This is the previous buyer's picture of the creed -- clearer than the seller's.

The seller even got negged for the fake!

Are you sure they are fakes? They appear to be "designer inspired" and if they don't have any Coach markings, they're legal.

There were a couple with coach tags, unfortunately I couldn't get pictures without being obvious about it :/ next time I'm up there, I'll try to get a couple. There were a few of those and fake MKs as well. There were other "designer inspired" bags with no tags, then fakes with tags that said the brand name. However, I'm not sure if the tags were meant to SAY they were coach or to tell buyers what they were inspired by.

Fakes I saw today! So bad, sosososo bad.

I agree with BeenBurned, the ones in the photo are just designer-inspired unless the bag itself actually says Coach or uses any of Coach's TRADEMARKED logos, and that particular C pattern isn't trademarked by Coach.

If the store-added tags say Coach and the bags don't and the store is selling them as genuine Coach, then it's deceptive and might be able to be reported to the local PD. But it's technically not a copyright violation, just false and deceptive advertising AFAIK.

This listing was already removed at least once and it's been relisted again.

This is NOT what style 6094 is supposed to look like:

THE SELLER RELISTED IT AGAIN !!!

I haven't decided which one it's trying to copy but here's a listing for a real Soho Twill Stripe Tote, style # 4436. According to Coach that style and stripe pattern wasn't even released until Spring 2004.

And here's style 4435 and 4434 - judging by the measurements it's trying to copy 4435. Aside from the always-fake serial number, none of the genuine Twill Stripe Totes has the same kind of top opening, and none of them were made in 2002 or even 2003. It IS a scary good fake though even though the lining is sloppy and would probably fool most people who didn't recognise the fake serial number or have other bags in that style line to compare it to.
