I reported 3 listings (since removed) for fakes from sharonoldiesandgoodies on March 4.

Note that she also sold this fake checkbook insert:

This is another seller whose listing(s) were already removed.

In this post, there's one current listing but at the time, there were several others that were reported.

The title of that removed listing was "Vintage Coach Medium Brown Leather Messenger Crossbody Purse No 101 06"

Obviously, she knows what she's doing in the current listing!

And a cache of one of her listings for the SAME bag!

Ladies, I have a question that has something to do with this thread. This the email I received from eBay:

"We noticed that you are an active eBay member with a positive reporting history on the site so we would like to thank you for your assistance in helping maintain a safe eBay site.

Since Community Members like yourself, are occasionally reporting listings to eBay, we decided to identify the most accurate ones, and make sure their reports are being efficiently reviewed.

Therefore we’d like to take the opportunity to offer you to join that restricted group of eBay users, with different levels of expertise in luxury brands. This is a program eBay put together to fight counterfeits more efficiently, in collaboration with knowledgeable eBay members, such as yourself. And this program has been successfully working for the past few years, we currently have a large community of experts in Europe, North America and Australia!

Based on your previous reports it appears that you have extensive knowledge in the area of Coach brand.

Basically nothing will change when it comes to your eBay account and activity, you’ll still be able to buy & sell normally ! The only “new thing” is that we will give you access to an enhanced reporting tool, which will send all your counterfeits reports to our teams in priority, so they can be reviewed quickly. Once the EMR tool is set up on your account the system will allow you to log in and have some further options available for reporting than the usual option. When you submit a report using this tool, your report will be given very high priority for review and will reduce previous delays you may have experienced. You will be given the opportunity to describe briefly (up to 1000 characters) why you believe an item is in violation. You will also be able to report up to 2000 items from the same seller. This is a much more efficient way for us to receive and action these reports."

Did any of you ever get a message like this from them, and does it really give you any advantage in terms of reporting fake items? Thank you for your opinion!

It's legitimate and is helpful in getting better attention drawn to reported items. EMR reporters' reports are more apt to be acted on.

Note that being EMR is supposed to be super-secret so avoid discussing it.

Thank you for responding, BeenBurned. A couple of tpf'ers pm'ed me about this program, pointing out being a member there means not to discuss publicly whatever they inform you about. With tons of spam that's being dumped on us from everywhere, I thought this email was one of those messages. Incidentally, a few days ago I kept getting a pop-up here, at tpf, about an upgrade to a premium account I earned by being a valued member. I'd click Yes, and the next message would be Oh, that's too bad you want to terminate your account instead. We're going to process your request now. I tried clearing cookies, but as soon as I'd login back, the same message would appear again, and I couldn't even close a window or switch to a different one. The same thing kept happening when I'd login from the different computer. Whatever it was, I wasn't able to get rid of this thing until the end of the day, and then it just disappeared. So when I received this message from eBay about being a valued member, no wonder it made me nervous.
