COACH Hall of Shame - Post Coach fakes here!

This thread is to post confirmed fakes only!

Both of these bags are authentic. Coach made bags in China, as well as many other countries! I hope no one reported them!
Sorry, I was not aware that Coach made all leather vintage bags in China. I thought that they started making them in China later on. My mistake. I will only post in Authentic This from now on.

The bag you posted that was made in China isn't vintage; it was made in 2004. Coach still makes all leather classics that are the same styles as some vintage bags, and they are mostly made in Asia these days.

The City Bag from China is NOT a vintage bag. It was made in 2004. Coach has made some styles that go back to "vintage" years - "vintage" only means 20 years old or more - and in fact STILL make a few of the same styles that go back to the 1970s, not to mention some older styles that are re-released and updated. The ones made after 1995 are NOT vintage, regardless of what name Coach gives them or what pulled-out-of-thin-air description some sellers decide to call them.

Coach didn't start making all-leather classic styles in China for the most part until around 2003. Please understand that "vintage" doesn't just mean something that's an older design. The word is an exact definition in collecting circles, just like "antique" when referring to furniture or other items. When we use the word at tPF we specifically mean items that are at least 20 years old.

And has already been said, post at the Authenticate This Coach thread first before posting any suspected fakes here.

DOn't be surprised. (This previous post was from January, 2015.)

The seller love2shopdotbags doesn't authenticate her items before listing them.

A seller who sells as many Coach items as this one should recognize an obvious fake, especially when she has an authentic version to compare to!!

vflterry has more fakes and in addition to the listing above from a week ago, she has a history of mixing fakes in her "lot" listings and not showing enough pictures of her items.

The camel/British tan bag on the upper right of the gallery picture is fake based on her description (I'm not sure what "FUC" means but I can use my imagination: COACH 9927 TAN LEATHER SATCHEL -FUC

I agree - seller " love2shopdotbags " charges higher-than-premuim prices for her used Coaches (the FAKE Stewardess Bag discussed in one of the posts BeenBurned mentioned sold for a WHOPPING $325 and the buyer probably got a fake worth not even one-tenth that price. The fake Cordelia Sling #4162 with the phony serial number stamping originally listed at Coach for $105 LESS than the current $299 price from LOVE2SHOPDOTBAGS ) Anyone who charges prices that are higher than the original retail price of the bag had damned well BETTER be sure their high-priced merchandise is genuine!

The serial number stamping shown in post # 2302 is COMPLETELY wrong, here are URLS and photos of two GENUINE bags with M6H- serial numbers:

The fake tan "Bleecker" bag in the photo is also a very good example of what we mean by "elephant-skin" wrinkles, they're all over the front of the bag where the leather shouldn't be experiencing any kind of stress that would damage, overstretch, or dry it out. The stretch marks can look like cellulite or stretch marks from weight loss or pregnancy, or how human skin can when it starts to show fine wrinkles running parallel to each other once someone gets to their 60s or 70s.
