Ummm, I'm new around these parts but after the 12th "Item 16xxx0758657 is no longer available" I am compelled to ask why there are no pics but rather, links that become inevitably useless when said item is reported.

As an avid online shopper of bags, I would love to see actual photos so I can learn. Threads like this can be invaluable tools and teachers...but consistent repeated dead links are ......pretty worthless.

*side note, I began reading the thread towards the end, approx Feb*

This thread is where known fakes are posted and the readers (presumably) click the "report" buttons on the ebay listings to report those listings as counterfeit.

What you're seeing stating that the listings have been removed means that they were reported, deemed fake, ebay pulled the listings and saved a buyer from getting scammed. Thus in this thread, dead links are a good thing.

If you want to learn about recognizing fakes, identifying them, knowing what to look for, etc., you can read the "authenticate this Coach" thread here:

And this long one has a ton of information. The following links are part of a long thread, which if you choose to start reading, I recommend starting at the end and work backwards.

Thank you much for the thorough response! As moronic as it is, I must say I would tend to believe in someone who stated "Authentic" especially if he was a Power Seller with a 99% or > score. Now I see,

EVERYONE IS SUSPECT, TRUST NO ONE

Sad, but true. Even honest sellers, if they buy second hand can make mistakes. It's always best to verify authenticity before buying, bidding or selling.

Seller says bag is being shipped from KOREA

seller ID - jma0626, store name KASAMIA

Fake of early 1990s Megan Bag

The inside zipper pull is a total fake and the same kind often used in Korean-made fakes, the word "leatherware" under Coach is much too big, and the words Coach and Bag are run together which NEVER happens in a real Coach but often in Korean-made fakes. Also the magnetic snap doesnt have the right stamping - they should always have a manufacturer's name and US patent number. None of the numbers on this one has enough digits to be a US patent number which are usually 9 numbers long.
