this purse belongs to my MOM.
it embarrasses me when we go out, and although her friend says its one of "the most convincing fakes," it seems so obvious to me. blahhh the fake leather :'(

Once a woman came into the store saying she got a coach backpack as a gift and it wasn't right for her - so she wanted to exchange it. First sign of bad fakes, rubbery/plastic "leather"... but the major one that made me think (are you kidding me?!?!) is that all of the tissue stuffing inside the bag was crumpled up chinese newspapers.

That was a few years ago and the story still makes me laugh.

Haha! yes, if you need to be sure, the first sign of a fake bag- chinese newspaper inside, lol!

Hello,
I am new to this forum! I never knew there was a Coach forum for people!!! My addiction besides Bare Escentuals. I don't have a picture but looking at this thread brought to mind a time when I was at my local Coach store. A woman came in and was talking with an SA. She had gotten a gift of a "Coach backpack" and didn't like it! I could tell the minute she pulled it out of the bag that it was fake. I had never seen a cream colored backpack with large lettering that was in the wrong direction plus the straps were made of cheap plastic. The SA told her that it was a fake and that the woman would have to ask her friend where she got it!
