I think that's a shoulder strap lying on top of the zipper and it looks like a 'normal' double zip zippers. By 'normal' I mean that it appears to zip closed in the middle and not leave a hole like another bag I won't mention. lol!

You're welcome! Yea, I call that opening where the zippers don't meet a pickpocket hole.

I thought the design was a bit abnormal as well, but I think it's for easy access to the kisslock pouch? Lol, still though, it should be nicknamed the pickpocket hole.

I kinda like that varsity jacket, looks super cool. I like how its cropped and the hem doesn't cover her hipbones. I've been looking for a jacket in this style but with no luck.

Looks like it would be very difficult getting into these bags. With the chain on the one and the buckle strap going completely over the top of the other.

It does look like it would be a PITA to get in there. It appears that you would have to unattach the chain via the dog leash clip then open the turnlock? I definitely like the look of the chain, but that is entirely too much effort to open a bag.
