I'm saddened to see some of the down talking about legacy, particularly that this is the Fall 12 thread featuring legacy. You would think that everyone coming to visit the thread would be here to positively dialogue about the collection and get excited about it!!
Its been draining to hear all of the negative comments about the collection that some of us are so excited about! Particularly if some of us own some of the bags being talked about.
This is just my opinion. I get the whole being able to express yourself thing but it can be kind of deflating when your so excited about something and want to share and talk about it and there are people here dragging it down.![]()
I agree, William.
The funny thing is that when the Legacy preview first launched, there was only 1 bag that I liked (camel Bucket, which I now have and love), and IMO the rest of the preview was a bit disappointing and hum-drum. HOWEVER, after seeing reveals of the duffles, they really started to grow on me, and when I saw them IRL it was love. I bought the carnelian 2 days later, and now have 3 more!
I really feel I am polite to everyone here (unless personally provoked, and that has only happened a time or two, not by anyone currently posting, let me add). With that being said, I'm sure there are alot of us that patiently sort of....suffered....through the whole Maggie craze.....Sophia craze (I now have 3 Sophias but originally didn't care for them)....and other styles/lines that weren't always so appealing to us all, but even in general chit chat and conversation here I can't imagine just blatantly putting down something that someone else loves and is excited about. Although I'm sure it's not to be taken personally, I can see where that might really hurt someone's feelings, as accessories sort of represent our individual personalities, right?
Personally, I'm thrilled with these simple, classic bags: I'm brought back to the beginning days of my almost 25 year love affair with Coach! I love Madison, too, for sure! But it's refreshing to see something classic yet with a modern twist......and all these wonderful colors?? I'm 35 years old, and I love all these colors. I don't think that bold color = only appeals to the young(er) generations. Also, I "foot the bill" quite alot, myself, as the majority of us do, so I don't think Coach will suffer if a few dozen regular buyers go on hiatus during the Legacy promo; there are plenty of us who will indulge!
Happy fall shopping! I love you all!
