Coach Dinky. Any thoughts?

I have the new quilted Dinky in black with gold hardware. I honestly haven't used it yet, but it was purchased to be a date night/going out bag. I plan to use it in a couple of weeks for my birthday celebration. It's a nice size for smaller- room for the basics. I personally couldn't use it as an every day bag, but I love the look for weekend/evening.
I've been eying on the same dinky as well. The only thing stops me across the fence is it really couldn't hold my essentials. I need it at least fits a sunglasses, a small wallet and a lipstick which I can barely fit them in.

Would it fit if you did a card case instead of a small wallet? I use one of those for my smaller crossbody bags.

If it's a slim card case, or if you don't mind to put your sunglasses in purse without case, or your sunglasses case is soft and slim. It fits. That's how I managed to use my tearose dinky.

For those who have owned/own a Coach Dinky, still in love with it? How is the wear and tear like?
Thinking about getting one soon, but wanted to hear other peoples' experiences and perspectives. Thanks

I have 4 Dinky bags - blue with brass, black with cherry print, gray/ginger colorblock with chain, and saddle with bow print, and they are all such lovely, well made bags! Mine all look brand new, and I don’t baby my bags - I am typically carrying a large tote to work with my lunch, water, book, makeup bag, scarf or sweater, etc... too much stuff tbh so while it is an effort for me to downsize I have to remind myself that I don’t need to carry all the things with me 24/7 :) I’ll keep my essentials in the Dinky, and that way I can grab and go if I step out to run an errand or if I go out after work, and I’m not schlepping a heavy tote with me - In the Dinky I’ve got phone, keys, a slim cardholder, headphones, a pen, tissues, compact and lipstick with me, and the tote can get stashed in my car.

I also like the flexibility of wearing the strap doubled or long. Can’t say I have a preference for the leather or chain strap - I like the look of both and have not had issues with the chain strap being painful (never have worn it on an all-day outing though), catching on clothing or even any seeing any wear on the hardware yet. They are great weekend bags for me, too - shopping when you want to travel light, going to lunch or a movie... etc. :)

I have three Dinkies... 1 pink and black, 1 tea rose (black with red, white, and blue roses) and 1 24 tea rose (dark turquoise with turquoise and melon tea roses - it is my avatar right now). I absolutely love these bags. They are so beautiful and wear well. The pink one I wore while on vacation to the Canadian Rockies and had absolutely no issues with the leather and it was really banged around being on vacation and all. I have a black tea rose strap and a special leather cross body strap I wear with them but Dinky 24 is being used with the original chain/leather strap. I can't express to you how much I love these bags. The regular Dinky is a little tight on space but then it also limits what you pile into your purse and sometimes I can collect a lot in my purse that isn't really needed. If I need more to bring along, I just bring a tote or similar. I find the Dinky 24 to have enough room for everything I really need to bring. I love how durable and lightweight they are. ETA: My pink one does have some issues with the black copper rubbing off the turn lock but it is with Coach right now being repaired.

I have two tearose dinkys. One I got a year and a half ago and the other about 6 months ago. Both are like new and are intact. Granted, I haven't used them a whole lot, but I'm pretty sure they'll last a very long time. I love mine and am so glad I got them.

I am 4 feet 11 and just bought my first dinky. Tea rose melon. I love it! The leather is fantastic. I also purchased the tea rose melon in Rogue 25. Bought them both on sale. I'm waiting for the rogue to come in so I can decide which one I like more.

I thought the dinky's strap wouldn't work because of the length but I looped it across the top part of the bag to shorten it and now I can wear it cross body. The only thing that kinda bugs me a little bit is the strap ties. It kind of sticks out and pokes me on the arm. Is anyone else bothered by that?

I’ve had mine about a month, after being on the fence about it since the release. I didn’t like the kisslock pocket.

I got sucked in during a recent friends and family event and I picked up the link version with brass hardware.

I liked the black copper hardware w/ the chain strap link but it seemed like the finish wasn’t durable.

I love oxblood so I the one I got with black and oxblood seemed like a reasonable option with the coupon.

I can’t fit my small wallet in, but was happy to see the kisslock can hold cash and some cards. I decided to get a new slim zip card case for this and other small bags during the holiday sale.

I liked this bag on the first outing - good for evenings and comfy to carry. I feel in love when I took on a recent mini vacation. I usually bring a day purse and evening purse but I downgraded to this single bag for all 4 days. A first for me - a trip with only one purse.

It worked really well. I could hold all of my essentials - save a bottle of water. It looked great for night time and with all of my outfits. And it is compact enough for a backpack to get down to 2 bags in the airport.

Thumbs up on this one. I have been carrying it quite a lot. It is a new staple. I get loads of complements too. I am sure this will be a staple for years to come.

I have a few small scratches - but that is too be expected with this sort of leather.

I also surprisingly love the multicolored links. And they are versatile to wear.

I just received my TR Dinkier, and am surprised how gorgeous it is!!! (This was an online exclusive sale so I couldn't see it beforehand.) I was worried about the size, but it's actually bigger than I'd anticipated. We'll see if anything fits!
