I saw the straw bags in person and they're actually really cute. Super lightweight and feels well made. I wish it was lined on the inside, though. The 39 is big and roomy. Perfect for Summer.
I saw them too and think the 39 will be a great summer/farmer's market bag. I can see using it to carry baguettes, fruits/vegetables- anything really and not wasting plastic or paper bags. The branding is not as loud in person imo- it is actually woven straw attached to the body of the bag. Definitely chic spring/summer boho vibes. I thought it was a fair price considering it is Coach and there is some leather at the closure and of course the hangtag.
I just pulled the trigger on this straw bag. I was considering the more high end like YSL and Dolce Gabanna but the Coach was cuter than all except the D & G. But in the end I couldn't justify the price for a summer bag so Coach was the choice. The large branding was somewhat of a turnoff but in the end the pros outweighed the cons.

I just came back from a Carribean cruise. That's what inspired me to get a new bag for the next one. I found a fabric bag shaped like it at a souvenir shop and really liked the oversized hobo look for a vacation bag. I have a Loewe raffia small tote that I've used for the last couple of years but I really wanted something different. I usually cruise twice a year. I will be ready for the next one. Hope you get your vacation soon!
