Hi Mooncalf!

I'm sooo in love with these belts right now too!!!! I've been stalking ebay the past few weeks religiously trying to get my hands on one at a good deal but the prices are really outrageous!! Almost as much as the brand new ones. Soooo I did a little digging and just found Moschino's official site online:

Sorry I can't help with tips for authenticating but this way you know you're getting the real deal!

Please help I got his bag on ebay, but after seeing it in person, I feel like it is knock off! Inside has no label and underneath the MOSCHINO metal letters, it looks cheap and not well made. The zipper just has Y&K sign. It is not marked anywhere else on the bag as "moschino" other than the large metal letters.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This is REAL! Redwall were licensed to produce MOSCHINO. I've been buying and selling vintage Moschino for years and the Redwall stamp is guaranteed to authenticate. Hope this gets to you, i know it's been a while.

Thank You for your feedback, yes, I have already laid my paws on this beaty ;)

I was afraid that 'redwall' stamp might be fake, as well, but if You(as someone having experience selling Moschino bags) say it's authentic, I'll believe it :)

My mom just gave me her Moschino belt and I'm wearing it at work today. On the inside of the belt, each of the letters has this stamped on it: "REDWALL Made In Italy". Also, in addition to the MOSCHINO label stamped into the leather, there should be a "redwall" logo with the words "redwall" (all lower case) in a box.

i agree, i think you'll be able to tell based on the craftsmanship, as well as what the other poster said about seeing where it's made, etc.
whenever i buy designer stuff i always make sure i'm only bidding within the USA. overseas can be very iffy sometimes, especially hong kong--no offense to people in hong kong! :x

Can you PLEASE post a few pics of the detailing of your belt because I am in the midst of buying one from somebody online and I'm really hesitant because I want to make sure it's the real deal! Thanks xo

Hi
Sorry to intrude, but I have 2 of the Moschino Belts. I didn't realise until I bought the 2nd one that the 1st one is a fake. If you don't mind, I would like to post pictures of both of them to show the difference. I will add pics asap.

I hope these pics will give you a bit of reassurance as to what to look for:

This first picture is showing the whole of Moschino. Look closely at the difference in lettering style:

Here is the back. The bottom belt, which is the authentic one, has redwall text on every letter.

The actual belt itself is very different as well. On the top one in my pictures (fake one) the belt is a completely different finish, there is no softness on the inside, and the shape at the ends is totally different.
As jhazn85 said, there should be a moschino and redwall logo on the inside of the belt.
