feedback means nothing... I've seen people purchase items from sellers with 100% feedback and still get something fake. Personally, I wouldn't deal with a seller who doesn't accomodate requests, especially when requesting additional photos. It's your right to see exactly what you're buying. Also, all her feedback is private so it's difficult to see what she's sold in the past.

Hey everyone! First off, happy turkey day to all the US-based ladies! Second, I got this bag and I think June said that it looked authentic, but extra pics would be nice. I bit the bullet and got it, and here are some pics from my camera. I sure hope it's the real deal! :)

Hi,

I bought what I hope is an authentic MJ stam.

Item: Marc Jacobs Stam
Seller: wesellbytheseashore
Vintage: Spring '07

Zippers and snaps all say "Marc Jacobs.". Zippers say "riri m4.". Kiss lock feels a little loose -I can open with one hand pretty easily. Tag in inside pocket is a single tag, with the date (S07) and a couple numbers under it. No second patent tag. "Made in Italy" is on the leather of the inside pocket and not on a metal plate. I have the tags that seem to match the style and color, but they weren't attached. Tags came from Bloomingdales with a price of $1,350. The dust cover was included. Lining is sewn (but I can pull it out of the purse so that I could dump crumbs out).

I think it is probably real....but I'm bothered there isn't a serial number/patent tag or a metal "Made in Italy" tag. Help! I've never had the joy of owning a MJ bag...I just hope I do now!

Your Stam is authentic and gorgeous :tup: and you got it for a great price. I used to have the exact same Stam. The patent number is a new thing and is around probably 2009 and onward. There is no patent tag on your Stam only the season tag. There is no metal name plate with that season but there is the Marc Jacobs - MII foil lettering. Enjoy your gorgeous Stam :smile1:

The rest of the bag looks good to me... It may have been a printing error by the manufacturer. I don't believe any of this style has been faked, and some of the other bags on ebay seem to have a slight misalignment with the Marc as well.

Hi thithi, thanks a lot! :smile1: I was quite skeptical as I actually paid less than the retail price quoted from MBMJ boutiques. The seller probably got these bags from bulk purchase hence the lower selling price.
