Hi!

If there is anyone with a Marc Jacobs Venetia bag/satchel, that they themselves purchased at a store (not online, or as a gift, or off ebay, or from a husband etc...) could they please contact me, as I would like to inquire on some details of their bag.

I have a equine leather MJ Venetia duffle which I purchased from a high end department store (so it's real for sure), and just recently received a fake bag off ebay (it was cheap so no biggie).

I need a third bag, another real one, to help me figure out the differences between a real and a fake.

Yes, I have done the research, read the threads, looked up the guides, and I find them lacking.
I have checked the zippers, and the fake has good RiRi zippers small and big. I checked the clasps and the fake is almost identical.
I checked the pull tabs and everything I could find on the fake before buying and it checked out. It's the leather that made it a fake, and I could only tell that once touching it.

So, looking at the two bags with a fine tooth comb, I see differences between the clasps, but not the front like we are told to check.
No, rather the finer finer details, like on the back of the push lock: the screws.
Like on the side of the push lock; the little circle indent.
Like the individual teeth of the zippers
Like how the metal ring attaches to the bag (is there just leather, or is there a metal piece that holds the ring)...

All these things no one asks as authentication details, but those are what separates a good fake from an authentic.

Therefore I need someone with a real Venetia, with receipt (I will share mine), so I can be 100% sure it's real, and can use that to double check the differences between the real and the fake, or conversely let me know what normal variations among real bags exist in the details.

Hi @alexanders ; you can post your bag you got from eBay right here in the "authenticate this" thread for Marc Jacobs to get authenticity opinions. Not every Venetia is the same, with different leathers, different linings, so it is better to get some experienced opinions rather than just comparing one bag to another bag for authentication.

Please help me authenticate this Marc by Marc Jacobs New Natasha Q Crossbody bag.
Does the interior of this purse come in different styles? I've seen it with interior zipper pocket plus 2 other pockets. The one I received is just one inner pocket without zipper.
