SAs at the dept stores aren't experts on authenticating handbags... they're only paid to sell them. The bag that you're questioning is based off a 2005 model and I'd be surprised if any of the SAs there have actually seen one up close or remember all the details.

almost every detail of this bag screams fake, from the texture of the leather and suede to the fonts on the hardware and the season tag.

this is real, blake is one of the most popular bags, and from what i remember retail was $1000 but possibly more now.
