I am having second thoughts! It could be an earlier model than first supposed and so I'll have to get out my books and have a really good look.
Here are extra photos provided by the seller. Hopefully this is enough for you to thoroughly authenticate. She said she couldn't find the serial number, and the zipper says "K&K". She's also questioning whether or not the strap truly belongs to the bag, which matches what I said before about the strap looking odd.

Thank you again, PT. :ty: I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say, and if it truly is authentic, learning the history behind it.

PT, thank you for the quick reply. I reached out to the seller and requested more pictures even though she had already refunded and cancel the transaction. Hopefully she provides them because I really do like this bag if it is authentic.

Would you also take a look at these for me?

Comments: Also, looks good to me, but I'm no expert!

As always, thank you for your help and expertise! :urock:

1. looks good

2. Most odd. Perhaps one of those 'Japan only' models that kept the business afloat in the late '80s early '90s but too many things are off. Tag too blurry to be any use (unless that's on purpose)

Still not liking the look of this, quite a few things are off even for the 1970s luggage it professes to be. Could have been a car crash disaster of a repair job but it's not correct.

Thank you papertiger!

1. I'm always anxious when I pay before getting confirmation from one of the authenticators, so it is always a relief to know that I was correct. :woohoo:

2. I haven't paid for this one yet since I wasn't sure. Do you think it is "odd" enough to pass on? Would you mind PMing me to tell me what you think is odd about it? I saw one sold on the realreal recently that looks just like it, so I thought it was a common style. I know they never give enough photos on these big consignment websites, but I just assumed it would be pretty safe since they have a reputation to keep up. :sweatdrop:

https://www.therealreal.com/products/women/handbags/crossbody-bags/gucci-vintage-crossbody-bag-9

For the price I got it on ebay vs the realreal price, I almost want to chance it.

I appreciate your time and effort looking into this, and thank you for your thoughts!

Hi just bumping this up. Maybe someone can help me authenticate this item? Thanks

Could someone please authenticate this bag?
I don't know the name.
I purchased it at a local thrift…cheap.
I took the photos…don't know anything else, but the details give me hope!
The outside zipper pull is actually silver-tone, not gold-ish like photo.
The lining is a sticky mess, but I've battled this before.
Approx. 12.5"w at bottom, 15"h, 4.5"d.
Any info is much appreciated…thanks in advance!

Comments:

I've seen a Soho disco bag on a site called "Vide dressing.com"

I don't know the price is very low (half the price of a new one) and the zipper is darkened gold and the pompon and rings are gold , is it normal?
I think it's fake but...

Thank you very much ;)
Have a nice day ;)
