This thread is closed as we don’t currently have authenticators for Gucci, please seek a paid service.

Please post authenticity questions related to GUCCI in this thread.

The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

Please follow the following rules:

Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is in order to prevent duplication requests and to make it simpler for people to 'search' for items which may have been posted previously. This is not a thread to ask general questions about GUCCI, please refer to our main GUCCI forum for such information.

This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

Item:
Listing number:
Seller:
Link:
Comments:

If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link (if available):
Seller:
Who took the pictures:
History of the bag:
Comments:

Please give us as much information as you can and then attach any pictures (all authentication must include pictures).

Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.
Please note that comments on price and condition are NOT permitted.
Please limit your request to one (1) per post; otherwise it gets too confusing keeping them all straight.
Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests must be posted in this thread.
To ensure that additional pictures requested are seen by the authenticators, please utilize the quote feature or provide a link to your original request and response. Failure to do so may result in your query not being answered.
Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.
Do not handle your disputes with other members in this thread but take your differences to Private Messages. Failure to do so can result in banning.

Thank you! I shared in another group and they all except one came back stating fake. I knew right then and there I had to come here with people I trust and with expertise. I am elated to enjoy my wishlist item that I worked hard to save for
Good thing you did jblady... there are things we here at The PurseForum know, and that's our luxury items. You did good for yourself and you should be proud... Also it's very good to verify. You can go to Gucci and purchase, and people will still try to tell you that your item is fake, when you know better. Walk with pride knowing that your Gucci Ace Bee Sneakers are authentic. That should add a little more pep in your step !

Hi there @jblady, I'm I have to agree with the other group, IMO these are fake

Hi! Sorry to bother you again as I know you are busy with other requests. I opened a case to return the purse proving it is not authentic and I have to prove reason and provide photos. I was wondering what characteristics they actually were? I went back and reviewed the photos and the first thing that caught my eye was the loose threads and uneven stitching in multiple places. I also compared the tag with the product number with one posted on fashionphile and the stitching was also uneven and not the same. If you can help me out that would be wonderful!

For legal disputes you'll need to consult paid for service such as Castira etc

Hello,
I would like to seek some advice on authentication of Gucci bag that I purchased in 2013 from ebay.

Item Name (if you know it):
Authentic GUCCI Hand Tote Bag Brown Leather Logos Made In Italy Vintage BN02586 230938416948
Link (if available):
no link available any longer...
Seller:
Brand jfa : https://www.auctiva.com/stores/viewstore2.aspx?id=1759768&styleid=12
Who took the pictures:
I did.
History of the bag:
I bought the bag as second hand from ebay auction by brand jfa in April 2013
Comments: The bag did not come with a dust bag or any other proof of authenticity  I blindly trusted that it is authentic on the basis of the authentication number: 0020347200110
I would much appreciate your kind help in the matter.View attachment 4721927View attachment 4721928View attachment 4721929View attachment 4721930View attachment 4721931

Looks good

Hi, I wanted to see if a bag my grandma gave me is authentic. She said she got it for cheap at a second-hand store so I don't know much if anything about it.
Item Name (if you know it): Not sure
Link (if available): N/A
Seller: N/A already in my possession
Who took the pictures: I did
History of the bag: Bought from a second-hand store
Comments: The interior of the bag is a black cloth with Gucci monogrammed on it and the signature Gucci made in Italy is stamped into the outside but there isn't a tag on the inside with a serial or a number I can find anywhere on the bag. This probably isn't a good sign but holding out hope since it is likely to be an older vintage bagView attachment 4723575 View attachment 4723576

Fake

Hi there fabulous purse people!
I found this bag at a thrift store. My main concern is that it doesn't say it's made of leather anywhere, maybe that's sign. But that's what I want know is it authentic? Super happy to have found this community! So thank you!
Marcia

Not sure if GD did this one but this looks OK

Hello Friends,
Does anyone know if this vintage gucci bag in authentic?
These pictures are from a message on Facebook messenger. It is in bery bad condition but i hope to repair it, Thank You

Gucci did do some bags like this, but someone's put this through the washing machine, felted the wool and ruined the leather. Not only is its authenticity compromised because the signifiers can't be read properly but this bag is dead. It's also older than they imply.

Thank you so much for replying. I asked for more photos for the shoes so here they are now.

And here is the link:

Thank you so so so much!
I really appreciate it!

I'm looking at these photos for the first time.

One of the problems is that the first pictures posted were not good enough. I will also say that the even the second set of pictures do not comply with what is asked for (see post 1 &/2). We do not have the items in our hands and can only go on the pics/info people provide.

I have to say I have to come down on the side that says these are NOT authentic.

As it says on post 1 of this thread: "The evaluations posted by tPF's members are only opinions that stem from personal experiences as shoppers and collectors. They are not legally binding or professional authentications and are not to be treated as such."
