Please post authenticity questions related to GUCCI in this thread.

The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

Please follow the following rules:

Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is not a thread to ask general questions about GUCCI, please refer to our main GUCCI forum for such information.

This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

History: I bought this on ebay for my mom bc she likes bags with front pockets. However, I've been restoring it. I brushed out the lining bc it was powdery. I tried to use the second strap notch in order to lengthen the strap, and it cracked. I decided to see if there was another like it, to see if it's a common issue, and how to fix it. However, I cannot find anything like it-anywhere. Now I'm wondering if it's a fake. It seems real to me. It even had a staple on the lining, as if someone tried to staple in the paper Gucci tag after it fell off. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Looks good!

As one woman's opinion...(it appears that one needs to be certified authenticator on this site ;)) anyhow, as someone who owns designer bags and have some vintage pieces pass on to me. unfortunately, crumbeling of the lining is common with vintage bags, wether its linen or leather. The bag appears authentic, the logo charm alone is the piece that's worth keeping this bag for. Those are from 50's and 60's, at least that's what I've learned from fashion history books. Take it to a shoe repair, they may be able to fix the strap. If you can, look for a repair shop in the elite neighborhood. They will have experience and more knowledge.

Just the usual required 500 posts. Please join in other parts of the forum and you will clock them up in no time. All help is appreciated (this thread is just for authentication).

Item Name (if you know it): Gucci marmont belt double G (Men's 4cm).
Link (if available):
Seller: An individual on facebook, prefer to keep name private.
Who took the pictures: Me
History of the bag: i purchased this but not sure of the authenticity. It was sold as brand new. The quality is amazing, but the packaging is what tipped me off. I've never owned anything gucci so i could be wrong.
Comments: please if you do find out what is wrong, can you tell me specifically so i know in future. Also may help in filing a claim if fake.

Hello again,
I had asked to authenticate a bag but I just saw the link no longer works! The bag is now in my possession but I can still return it.
I took the photos, then posted them from my iPad, which is why they look framed and funny.
I would appreciate if someone could authentiate it as I can still return it:

Hello!
Just bumping to see if someone could have a look.
Much appreciated!

Hi! Do you authenticate scarves here? I bought this scarf and I've already received it. I'm totally inexperienced in them so I hope somebody can take a look even if the listing has been completed. The pictures in the listing are good quality so I didn't take new ones anymore. Thanks!

Comments: I bought this bag on eBay in December 2016, seller provided receipt showing it was purchased from Net a Porter in September 2016. Another ebayer left a review on the listing expressing doubts about its authenticity due to the stitching. I'm now really worried it's a fake, would greatly appreciate any help authenticating. Many thanks!image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg
