I usually don't authenticate 17 million+ series classic boys, classic flaps, GSTs, WOCs and reissues unless it's from a reputable seller that I know and trust, due to the proliferation of superfakes, or unless it's a bag that to me is clearly counterfeit. Unfortunately most paid services do not do these either unless you mail them the bag.Including additional pictures. Thanks so much!

And confusing for us, and for many other users, too.********************ATTENTION, PLEASE READ**********************
We've been noticing many bad requests as of late.
It's very time consuming for us to have to reply to each poster and remind them of the rules that's been laid out on the first page of this thread. Also, replying to and pointing out each request that didn't follow format/rules and the back and forth (re)postings clog up the thread greatly.
@ironic568 you are kinder than me; anyone who does not have the time or will to simply follow our requested format cannot possibly expect that we devote volunteer time to peer over their listings so I will ignore them although recently I have been trying to reply to say what's missing but that's not usually my norm. ATC thread has one of the highest traffic out of all of TPF; many AT threads with lesser traffic will have authenticators ignore requests where requestors do not bother to read.On the other hand, we don't want to ignore your requests either.
@ironic568 has kindly outlined the format and it's also again in Post #1 as she mentioned, in case you guys forget.
Therefore, please help us help you. Before requesting an authentication, PLEASE read post #1(required format) and #2 (required pictures) of this thread and provide all the necessary pictures as well as follow the required format. We can't help you make an evaluation based on only a few blurry pictures, unless, of course, it's an obvious fake. It's imperative that we get crisp & clear, up close and head on pictures of all pertinent details as is laid out in post #2 to make an accurate assessment.
And please post in the following template:
Item name:
Serial number:
Listing number: (eBay listing #, site listing #, or if applicable)
Seller: (seller ID)
Link: (link to the sellers listing in eBay or other selling site)
Comments:
If your request has no valid link to the listing (that's still active, or has ended), you would need to post a login shot.
Login shot: the bag in front of your device while logged into your tPF account (showing your username).
Thank you all for understanding and cooperating![]()

Of course, if I am still able to tell you if it's a "definite fake" or "definite superfake" I will still comment, so you are not discouraged from posting these bag requests, but please make note of the above. (If you are getting this response, this means that it does not look clearly counterfeit/does not look obviously fake to me).

If people can't be bothered to read, or take the time to procure the necessary shots, they should not expect authenticators to still pore over and take time to respond or look at the listings or pictures.
This is a purely volunteer free service. You can get the same service for $7 with a reputable third party authentication service. Although I'm sure they will have the same type of specific photo requirements.
