Comments: First time buying preloved. The seller is Coco Approved from Instagram...who also has his own website. I’ve heard very good things about this seller from Youtubers as well as fellow Pursebloggers deeming him as a credible source. He told me he has an Entrupy certificate but as we all know...Entrupy is not the greatest way to deem authentic. Also for reference, he only leaves the first 2 numbers of the serial number and blocks out the rest so “fake manufacturers can’t get it.”

COMMENTS: Please see the 2 photos below. 1) Outdoors in ordinary sunlight, you can definitely see a color discrepancy between the leather of the tab with the silver CC and the body of the bag. The tab is true blue and the rest of the bag has a greenish cast with the blue. The strap is also true blue and matches the tab, not the body. Is it normal and authentic Chanel to have such a color difference? Is there a cause for the color difference or is this how the bag looked originally? The color difference is much less noticeable inside, as you can see in the Fashionphile photos. 2) The second photo shows some scraping of the leather and discoloration by the left vertical seam. The discoloration is brownish, which does not show up well in this photo. How much do these flaws diminish the value of the bag? Any sense of it or your ballpark guessestimate would be helpful.

When new this Jumbo had 1 uniform color. The discrepancy in color you see now is due to discoloration, which is unfortunately very common with patent leather bags. Age, improper storage, sunlight, and humidity can have very negative effects on patent leather. It can pick up other colors, fade, turn yellow, or darker in color. Because of the outer shiny coating of patent leather, any color transfer, or discoloration of the leather underneath cannot be reversed/fixed. Patent leather normally doesn't hold its value as well as caviar, or lamb, but with the added irreversible discoloration, and color transfer, I'm afraid it will diminish the value even more. If you lift both outer and inner flap, do you see a color difference between the area covered by both flaps and the rest of the bag? If you do, then the color that is closer to the original color is shown underneath the 2 flaps. Or look inside the back pocket, it will likely show you the original color.

As for the authenticity of the bag, I do not expect any issues, but would like to see a clear and up close picture of the full sticker to confirm.

If you bought this, post back with your own pictures of the full serial sticker, card, CHANEL MADE IN stamp, buttons on the strap, end of leather strap, CHANEL engraving on the side of the bag + the screws underneath.
