The lost of structure is the one thing I don't like about aged calfskin. The Reissue (in different sizes) is a staple in my collection, but I hate that the leather gets soft and lose structure with use. It's not a problem with caviar, patent, or lambskin Reissues, but I only like Reissues in aged calfskin.

Haha... I think perhaps I know what you mean. Or at least to me, reissues with aged calfskin look more effortless, a bit je ne sais quoi perhaps? In other leathers, I think the reissue looks much more like the classic flap. I’ve read you shouldn’t overstuff your calfskin reissue or it will lose its shape. I find that when it’s fully packed though, it looks like it’s come back to life with the contents holding its shape and the creases less obvious. But mine is just a 224. I imagine it won’t work for the bigger sizes.
