I’m a Vintage Chanel collector and I just bought two vintage bags from a seller on Etsy. I’m very good when it comes to Chanel authentication but let me tell you!!! If they turn out to be replicas this will upgrade the replica game to a whole new level. I only started getting suspicious when I received the second bag and realized that the hologram was missing from it just like the it was in the first bag. There are traces of the sticker however, the sticker doesn’t match the sticker from the year that the bag was made and isn’t positioned in the same location as it is supposed to be (I compared the bags to the 100% authentic ones and compared stitch by stitch)
1. the backpack- what I found suspicious is that it smells new, the gold stamps are suspicious too, on the authentic version the R is smaller and lower. Also, if you notice it says MADE IN ITAlY and not MADE IN ITALY. Now let’s assume that part just got rubbed off... the hologram sticker is positioned at a different location than the authentic one. Also, this style hologram doesn’t match the style hologram of the original one which is fully white and correlates to bags made in 1991-1994. Unless Chanel put out a later release of this bag?

2. The Vintage Chanel sport duffle is perfect stitching however, the things that strike me are the weird sticker which is just a white square and it’s about to peel off from the bag. Also, the zippers are different from the authentic version which is a black string with a black claps at the end. Another thing is the claps on the sides, the authentic version that I compared it to has different style claps where you just push the middle and leash separates whereas in this bag it’s the claps in thick you have to push the sides.
