Hello! So I recently bought a vintage Chanel bag pre loved and the woman that I bought it off said that the bag belonged to her grandmother and didn’t know of it’s authenticity or not. I know vintage pieces are hard to authenticate because they won’t have serial numbers and etc., but I was wondering if anyone could help me out! Thanks!

Hi there! Would someone be able to tell me if this Chanel bag looks authentic please? It’s from fashionphile and I know they have their own authenticators but I just want to double check. I’ve already paid to put it on layaway/reserve, but the “glue residue” marks are making me suspicious now. I’ve done some research online and all I’ve found is people saying that authentic bags should never have glue residue. Can someone please help? I don’t have all the required info unfortunately since I haven’t received the bag yet, but I’m hoping the website’s close-up photos can provide what you need

Poshmark has authenticated, but I've been reading that they might not be the best at authentication. I tried my best to look for the following purse style, but couldnt find anything that had a classic flap with CC turnlock and also that style of chain. The seller says it's from 2007. I cross posted in "identify this" to see if anyone else was familiar. I'm worried about authenticity because it's missing the trademark (R) and the mismatching chain. Any help is appreciated. If more pictures are needed, I should have the bags in my possession tomorrow. Thank you.
