I agree that it doesn’t look right. I’d be surprised if Bloomingdale’s stocked fakes, but I wonder whether someone ordered a real one and returned a fake? I know that happens sometimes with bags, which is why they often aren’t returnable.PLEASE help me - I ordered this from BLOOMINGDALE's and I'm convinced that it is counterfeit. 1) the lining is horrible quality, 2) there are loose threads everywhere, 3) the camel hair is not soft at all, 4) the tag does not match the size - one says 6, the other says 4! Not to mention, the shipping process was incredibly complicated and it got misdelivered before it reached me. Every time I order designer goods from this Dept store there is shipping drama.
I spent so much money on this item. Could Bloomie's sell fake goods? I'm now second guessing some other purchases from there too...my father's Canali suit came in and also had mismatched sizes and felt extremely low quality but I have no idea if there are fake Canali suits. I'm horrified and embarrassed.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. I was looking at soo many coats today and comparing them......and the most strange thing with this coat is an inner tag, the text isn't aligned, some of the text is centered, others not, and I became suspicious.Good morning, the typography of the front of the inner size label looks to be consistent with what Max Mara is using currently. If you want to be more sure of yourself my advice would be to geek out some more over the lettering of the labelsCompare the store tag to reputable source, if you can find one. From the pictures the Puntino stitching looks nice and the quality of the fabric does as well. But these coats do remain modern coveted higher-end items.
thanks for your reply! your answer was really helpful cause you gave me some ideas on what to look at. So, this coat is a well-made fake! I won't write there what's wrong not to improve counterfakers' work. Today fakes are sooo good, so ladies, be careful to buy pre-loved items. I decided to save money there)Ugh, yes, that made me look twice now too. Looking at the pricing it is a couple years older though, production tags change. The font is just so good, ugh. Can you compare the big inside 101201 label to the one on the Max Mara website? Is the lining stitched/sewn in the same way? You could count the tailoring stitches. Is the brand label woven of the same material? Are the buttons sewn on the same way, I think that's vertical with one diagonal crossing. You could also try comparing the other way around, compare with known very good super fakes and see if it matches those. Should probably not have replied, apologies! Not really of any help. I find the era of superfakes terrible and stick to vintage myself.
Hi May I know if this piece was a sample piece? Also, were there any vertical seams in the material which made up the belt?thanks for your reply! your answer was really helpful cause you gave me some ideas on what to look at.
