  Comments: It seems like she sanded down the shoes? I don't know if she did that because they may have been too slippery for her? Also, the heel tips are black and I know they are supposed to be beige. However, I do not know if she replaced them. Also, they have a serial number in the shoes, but one side is fainter than the other. Please let me know your thoughts, thank you!

Yes I believe they are authentic and your friend gave you a valuable gift! The bottoms were probably sanded down to make them less slippery.
