Hi ladies :flowers:
Just sharing the results of putting some love on this beauty . The handles were almost black but with time and patience I’m so proud of how they look now. There was missing color principally on the front right corner (retouched color of the four corners). As you can see, I didn’t want to alter the natural overall vintage look of this baby so I did my best to make it look most natural I could. No abrasive products used. Mixing colors (penetrating) manually. Handles have been only cleaned, not painted.

Impressive work @LostInBal !

What kind of powder are you using and roughly how long did the entire process take? I want to tackle some dirty chèvre handles on a piece I purchased recently, but afraid I’ll mess it up as the leather feels quite delicate there. Any tips you can share are very much appreciated!

Here's an old thread that details a step by step with cornstarch, baby shampoo and a heat lamp. I've not tried it myself.

Thanks, @Conni618 ! If I can muster the courage to give this a go, I’ll definitely post about it.

P.S. - Your animal rescue link has +1 click today. ;)

I have cleaned and moisturized repeatedly. I bought the bag with the water line. It's not really that noticeable but it does bother me.
It doesn’t need to be cleaned every time. I would just moisturize only that specific area till the stain disappears. Remember that every time you clean you remove all the anterior moisturizee. Are you sure it’s a water mark?.

Not really sure but that's what it looks like...seller didn't disclose the mark and when she was called on it she reduced the price so I took a chance....I've tried Leather CPR, Apple conditioner, rubbing with damp microfiber towel. Here's a pic
