It seems a shame not to wear a ring you love just because of an ancient tradition. I guess it depends on what you're comfortable with though. Some women refuse to wear wedding bands with diamonds or out of any material other than gold out of superstition. Some women don't wear rings at all, and still others choose not to go for diamonds because they don't like them.
You clearly love the ring but if your grandmother's opinion really bothers you then I guess don't wear it. You certainly don't seem to like the idea of wearing it with your engagement and wedding rings. (I don't blame you, it seems like it would look very strange that way).
I think most of us think you should wear and enjoy it, just with the heart inward on your right hand.
