I love my clauddagh ring, and mostly love the symbolism with it. But I find it looks ridiculous beside my engagement and wedding rings. I want to be able to wear it, and have the symbolism but as I said, it just doesn't fit. Anybody else have this happen?

Mine is just put away in the jewelry box right now. If I wore it, I would probably use it as a RHR. I love mine too, because my parents are from Ireland, and my Mom gave it to me.

i also use mine as a RHR. also i have a chamilia bracelet with a clauddagh charm for days that i just dont feel like wearing it. maybe if u get a smaller version or a different metal finish it would go along better?

Mine was a pre-engagement ring and went in the jewellery box once I got engaged. I had a modern version with the crowned heart channelled inside the band so it would look ok work as a band ring, but I still don't wear it.

If you want to wear it then go for it. Wear as the others have said as a RHR, or use it as your plain band for 'off' jewellery days. Do what pleases you. - just be sure it doesn't rub against your setting(s) if you do wear it with your wedding set.

I know in Europe, many people wear their wedding rings on the right hand, so I think it would still have meaning.
Otherwise, how about putting it on a nice chain and wearing it as a pendant?

I wear my Claddagh ring either as a RHR or middle finger on left hand. You can wear it alone on your ring finger as your wedding ring when you want to have a change.
The symbolism of the Claddagh is love, loyalty & friendship. There is nothing specific about how it should be worn, other than wearing on left ring finger is for marriage.

Well there's the ways you're supposed to wear it (facing out, facing, in, etc).

I think if I wore it instead of my wedding ring, my husband would wonder what's wrong.

I used to wear it as an RHR but my grandmother said I simply couldn't do it (she's irish)

Yes, I'm aware that wearing the heart facing out means your heart is "not taken" & you are available. Wearing the heart inward signifies your heart "is taken".
I, too, have Irish heritage & numerous Irish friends.
