I have been lusting over finding the perfect one for a couple years, and when I was dropping off a different bag for repair, I asked if they were going to be receiving any... and got a call a week or two later! I wasnt sure if I wanted black or gray, but after holding a couple and seeing more photos, I settled on this gray one!
Frances isn't impressed.
Apparently all the department stores and boutiques (even my SA in Tokyo called to tell me they arrived) have been getting them the past couple weeks, so if you must have one, now is the time to strike! Especially if you have been wanting a gray one, almost all the ones I looked at were gray!

Question, do you find that the scales pull your clothes? Mine do a little bit but I've just dealed with it since the bag is so gorgeous! For my bag, the stitches go through some of the scales which caused them to crack open and thus create sharp edges. Wondering if that's normal on all the stingray bags.
I have the opportunity to get a new stingray bag (long story short, I took my bag in for repair, and they ended up destroying the leather interior so they're replacing it for me) so I don't know what to expect for the new one!

I find that the sharp cut made in the stingray leather in the back also creates a lot of sharp edges that pull on clothes.
Yes they are split from the seams, but it doesnt seem like there is any other way. One of the bags I had tried was very very smooth with 0 pulling scales, but I feel like there are one or 2 sharp scales on my current bag. I read you can clip them wiht little nippers? But I don:t know, I just am keeping my eye on it.
