Good Morning :)

I wanted to take a poll of everyone's opinion of the best cobbler to go to in NYC for Louboutin and high end shoes. I am taking 3 pairs of CLs to get Vibram soles, and a pair of Alexander Mcqueen sandals that need the sole fixed.

Who do you think is the most skilled and reliable cobbler in NYC?

Leather Spa. I have used both. I sent shoes to Artie's once, but over 5 pairs to Leather Spa. The quality & attention from Leather Spa FAR surpassed Artie's.

Leather Spa took a little longer, but it was well worth the wait. Highly recommend.

I ended up going to Artys because I went before I had got any replies on here. I chose them based on Yelp! reviews. *Fingers Crossed* I'll let you all know how they turned out

I've taken about 30 pairs here and they do an amazing job! I took in a pair of nearly destroyed orange loubs and they even matched the color and filled in the heel!

Does anybody know a good cobbler in the Edmonton, Alberta area? I have a few Louboutin's i'd like to get vibram's put on but don't know who to trust. If I have to i'll send them away but would prefer not too. Thanks in advance :)
Hi! Did you ever get an answer for this? I took my MBBs to Adam's downtown after an unfortunate NY Eve spill on cobblestone roads (whoops!). They did an ok job, basically just redoing the nude leather that had rubbed off in some spots and pulling in the slingbacks on Twistochats that were too big, but the guy working there had NO CLUE what Louboutin's were! This shocked me, these shoes are some of the Creme de la creme of the shoe world...so I wouldn't go there again (although it WAS cheap!). Have you found anyone else, possibly to put quality vibrams on? Some of my shoes are getting tooooo worn out :(
Cheers!
Amanda

Hey Amanda, Yes I actually ended up taking mine to Adam's downtown as well. I had them put Vibram's (Red ones I found on ebay) on my 140mm Bianca's, a Prorata pump, and 2 Louboutin flats. I felt the same about how they turned out, they were ok but I have not been back since, and have more shoes to be done. One thing I found is it took forever I called over a week after I had taken them in and they said they would be ready so I went to go pick them up and they had not even started, it was frustrating. I have found no where else yet, and no one else responded. And lol I know when I dropped my shoes off nervously I explained to Adam please be careful these shoes are new. He had no idea what Louboutin's were when I explained either. Let me know if you try anywhere else, and how it goes. I'll attach a couple pictures it's not super clear but it will give you an idea of the Bianca's I got done.

I just got mine back from Arty's. To be fair, I think he did a great job... but what a hassle! I brought my new Louboutins in on a Friday, he asked me when I needed them, I said "whenever you can get them done," and he told me to pick them up the next Friday. I thought one week was a long time, especially because my regular cobbler usually does similar jobs within 1 or 2 days, but I was still feeling optimistic about Arty after the good reviews I read.

The next Friday, I go back, and the shoes are *not* ready and he could not be less interested in helping me! He was downright surly. I asked him when they'll be ready, and he said, "oh maybe later today, maybe tomorrow, I don't know where your shoes are, I'll call you when they're ready, (go away)." At this point, I'm super upset because 1- he's very out of my way and I had to take a taxi because it was raining (waste of my $15, both ways), 2- he didn't even know where my shoes were, making me so fearful that he lost them, and 3- he kept complaining about all the shoes he had to work on and how he's so backed up with work. Well, if that was a problem, he should never have told me to come in that day! I just didn't like that he made me think that they'd be ready that day, wasting my time and money, when it was clear that he did not care at all about these "deadlines" that he created.

Anyway, so I left and waited for his call later that day and the next day. Nothing. I finally called him again the next Monday, and I'm very upset at this point. He told me he STILL hasn't started working on my shoes and gave me such attitude. Wow. I was so worried that he had lost my shoes or something bad happened and that he was just stalling. Thankfully, when I called again that afternoon, they were ready. When I went in, to my disbelief, he acted as though *I* was the one that kept *him* waiting! He literally told me, "I've been waiting all day for you to pick these up!" Jeez. Really? Have a little integrity, Arty, and own up to the fact that you jerked me around.

These are my first Louboutins, and are extra special because they were a gift from my boyfriend, so I was definitely very anxious about them being perfect, and his laissez-faire attitude was just so off-putting. His craftsmanship was fine, so I didn't make a bigger fuss, but next time I'll skip the hassle by ordering the vibram soles online and taking them to my regular cobbler who is HONEST, fair, courteous, and prompt!

Where would you order these from?
