I never feel comfortable buying diamonds without seeing them in person.

I wouldn't buy designer as you won't get anywhere near the size you want for the prices you're looking at.

I agree.
I could never buy anything, that expensive, without seeing it IRL and having several to choose from. But if OP has trouble getting a certificate, she may have to go to a brand store.

Why is it more expensive to buy the stones first? I thought that would be cheaper.
