Depends on the vibe you want. People’s eyes focus on one piece in the center with the vintage pendant. Whereas the clash necklace is more of a choker style, which to me is a bit more casual. I think there is room for both in a collection. I think you can layer the clash with any pendant. The vintage pendant is more distinctly VCA.
If I wear the small clash alone, will it also stand out?

For people that know and love the clash line I am sure they will notice it right off. If they don’t know it but like jewelry I am sure they would appreciate it. If they’re not into jewelry, I don’t think it would capture their attention the way a piece that is blingier would. I don’t think the gold vintage pendant really pops either, compared to say a piece with diamonds. But I think the pendant may be a wee bit more noticeable. Of course that’s just my opinion. The pendant is very pretty and soft. The clash is little edgier. The looks are very different but given the above, they are both relatively subtle compared to a pave Alhambra pendant, for example. So I really think it is dependent on the look you want and what feels most you.

I purchased a hammered gold vintage pendant and returned it for a carnelian one. I think Alhambra really shines with a colored stone instead of solid gold. That said, I do have a small clash necklace arriving tomorrow. The small clash is perfect and plenty substantial. Tried on both in the boutique, and medium was a hair longer and noticeably thicker. Good luvk!
