I have noticed...there are some sellers who will not say anything about wear/dirt/tears/etc...and then there are some who go above and beyond and mention every.single.thing. that they think is wrong with it. The former are the worst to deal with...but then again, sometimes the latter make their bags seem to be horrible.
Like, light superficial scratches to a metal hangtag or something.
While all that is good and all...if I am buying a used bag, I would never get mad over "light scratches to metal hangtag" or hardware if it were not mentioned. But I guess I am the only one, according to some buyers who file cases over these things, LOL!
I have a feeling those sellers are scared of getting a return or for there to be a case, so they scrutinize these things. It's a used bag...not a $500 collectible Barbie. And buyers should realize this. Even brand new bags from Coach have boo-boos, as we have seen time and time again.
I got dinged a whole star one time (and the only time so far) because I sold a used item ($300 off retail, I might add) that had one unknown-to-me small teeny tiny spot on it. Like, head of a pin spot (their words). Something that was easily overlooked and they said they removed it just by brushing it away. I did not know about this until the buyer left me feedback & emailed me about it, and I was like, "huh?" It was perfectly fine when I packaged it, LOL! The only thing I can think of is that maybe it was a small piece of fine glitter or something, as I was working on crafts the night before I packaged it and maybe this rogue piece of glitter hung onto my hand even after washing my hands several times. To this day, that is the only answer I can come up with in my head.
I guess I should be thankful that they did not ask for a partial.
It is sad that ebay has become such a spooky place. But that bag above...it looks terrible. Terrible! I am so relieved that y'all got extra pics to save potential buyers from getting disappointed. Why would someone treat their bag like that? I guess they are the same people who think it's not that big of a deal or something. After a few cases filed, they will learn.
