No clue, maybe someone used the strap on another purse? The seller probably purchased it without it at a deep discount and is re-selling? I saw a Sophia on eBay with NO HANDLES. They .. "Have been removed and are not available". Makes it seem like the handles misbehaved and are permanently grounded!! :roflmfao:

I've seen that on Sophias before. I think that some people don't like what the handles do when they carry it by the long strap so they cut them off. Personally, I never liked the long strap on Sophia. I always carry her by the handles and leave the strap dangling.

I could never commit major surgery on a bag unless I knew I would keep it until it would fall apart. I can't even bring myself to cut off the ugly cloth strap on my Poppy Spotlight.

hi, I'm looking for a parker hippie and I found a nwot for 130. 20 of it is shipping cost. seller says that's how much she will actually spend on shipping. is that a good deal or is it too much, considering it is an older bag.

What color? You are talking about the FP Parker from 2009, not the recent MFF? For nwot, that is probably a fair price. I paid $80 for my hobo and almost $100 for my perforated hippie. Both were in used condition. $20 for shipping is a bit much unless she is using a premium service like UPS or Fed Ex or she isn't in the same country. She could ship it in a USPS medium flat rate box for $12.65.

Whateve, it's a taupe color, not sure if it is one of the originals or the MFF. seller says it needs a larger box and she's not skimping out on shipping that's why it's 20. she's in Missouri and I'm in Wisconsin.

It is the original FP Parker. Gorgeous bag. Did you notice that in the shipping details, she specifies a medium flat rate box?

This is the large so it might not fit in a medium flat rate box. Maybe she is charging you for a box? I've shipped bags cross country and the most I've spent on USPS is $15.52. If she adds insurance it could be more, but if she buys her postage through ebay, it will be automatically insured for $100.

If it were me, I would accept. You should consider the entire price, not how much is being charged for shipping.

no I didn't notice that, thanks for pointing that out. I know I shouldn't dwell too much on the shipping cost, but just thought that was a bit much. With shipping my overall cost is 130 and I wasn't sure if I was getting a good deal or not. thanks whateve, you've been very helpful. :)
