Charbon color??

Charbon doesn't look like black IRL. The color photographs very dark though. I've mistaken charbon for black only in pictures. However, IRL, its a beautiful chocolate brown. Not "too" dark at all. IMO, the color can't be captured in pics.

I have been asking myself the same question.
I think charbon '08 is more ashy dark brown (looks mauve in certain lighting) and '09 is a slightly deeper dark dark brown (no mauve).

the reason why i sold my 08 charbon city was that the MAUVE UNDERTONE bothered me.... hmmm i should reconsider the 09 charbon then !

You sold that beauty? I love that color. I wish my Charbon I bought from bay is that color. I bought 09 Charbon City. Your ex-08 Charbon is TDF IMO!

^^yess that looks like an eggplant color bag...I have the 08 charbon and I do notice hints of mauve in it but def not purple outright like the pic above...maybe its the lighting?
