I went to my local boutique two days in a row asking for a my perfect mini in blue and the staff said aparently the blue colour is popular so it was allocated to their “ready to wear clients” and sold out so none of them were ever placed on the shelf for sale to the general public. She advised me to build up my purchase history with “ready to wear” so I can get pre-allocated with bags too. I’m sure im gonna get scolded by mum if i’m spending 10k on clothes lolI was at the boutique today and inquired about upcoming collections and that I might be interested in some pieces and how to proceed. The SA told me they do not take reservations anymore and do a kind of "first come first serve" concept. She said the demand is so high that they would have a list of 20 names for one size of a shoe and it seemed pointless. She was very nice and it does make sense to me but I do suspect that well-known customers who spend a lot might get first dibs on some items. Has anyone heard about such an approach? This is for Switzerland btw and I know it's very different in the US especially at department stores where SAs work for commission...
