I moved to London from Australia recently so I thought I'd join in the fun of the launch this morning for the experience even though I wasn't keen on anything in 22P. I started in Selfridges just before 10am and I have never seen anything like what I witnessed when the doors opened. People just sprinted towards the boutique and the line was at least 30 deep within 2 mins. I skipped out and walked down Bond Street past the boutique there (again, the queue was about 50 deep at 10:30 - 30 mins before the store opened) on my way to Harrods which ended up being chaos! At least Harrods seemed to have a virtual queue but I think people would still have been waiting hours. It was fun but I'm very glad I wasn't actually looking for anything. I clearly need to start taking shopping more seriously to compete with all the seasoned resellers - some of them looked like they were preparing for an Olympic event while waiting in line!
