The only problem is I Haven’t bought from them so I’m not in the system. If they didn’t have the bag I was going to buy a cardholder and then I would be in there system. Don’t know when I’ll be able to go up there, I’m about 5 hrs away so bad weather gets in the way

I buy in Barcelona (Spain) boutique and I can only buy a bag every 2 months. My SA will keep a bag for me until the 2 month mark. This is only for handbags I think, but not sure if it is the same for all countries.
Regarding the resellers, I think the only way to stop them or to drive the price down to more reasonable prices is to not buy what you think is not reasonably priced, but unfortunately many people love their unicorns bag too much and pay whatever price.
For example, i love the popular pearl mini. I regret not having placed an order for it, but i dont have one because i refuse to pay so much for that bag so i wait and hope Chanel will bring another bag. I dont become obsessed or chase a bag anymore. If its not available to me, then it is not for me! Same goes for the caviar minis or any other popular style. I only use resellers to sell my bags that i bought and sadly never used after 1 or more years, or to buy vintage/older bags that i love.
Hi all, been reading last few pages and I understand frustration with resellers. I was dreaming of the mini gold bag and called my local Chanel, Neimans, Saks and Nordstrom ( had some experience with the SAs who were really nice)
they didn’t over promise and didn’t lie ...they said they will put me on the list but if you weren’t in top5- most likely will not get the item.
Finally got the cute mini square gold bag from Neimans ( I was 2nd on list and he guaranteed I would get it; just a timing issue)
One SA made an interesting point- they said while protocol is frowned on resellers , they don’t mind since it’s guaranteed sale. In turn, the resellers drive up the demand and brand online and make having a certain “it” bag even more desirable. So in the time of COVID - it’s a win win for many who don’t want to leave home, for resellers doing the ground work and advertising via another channel.
No one wants to pay extra, but if they are polite, being fair with premium and are quick with responses - I don’t mind working with them.

haha I unfollowed too the other day due to her language & general attitude. I think she needs to appreciate that clients drive the business & not bags - if everyone keeps steering clear then perhaps she will realise. But anyway glad to know others noticed too and wasn’t just me thinking something is wrong with her attitude.

It's the same game Hermes is playing. They clearly know something is in demand. They can clearly make more. It's not like these bags are made of extinct rhino skin. They can easily shift production from some some seasonal bags into their high demand items.
There will always be those who try to profit from an existing system and this one, as intended by Chanel, is clearly full of holes waiting to be gamed by those who are looking for extra income.

Now I fell in love with the 21P brown and I started going into stores since early January, getting the SA contacts in hopes that one of them can make my C dream comes true But no news until now obviously and I noticed that some stocks from HK went to US or other countries resellers..

To be honest, I haven’t gone any far to think about what outfits to pair it withI just want it when I saw it and put my name down... and now that you asked, I’m thinking any light coloured shirts with jeans or plain as well as colourful, flowery summer dresses would be good!
