I am forever a classics girl but more and more I am drawn to seasonal bags because there is only so many classics you can get before the colours start being very similar to previous releases so there are fewer unique choices. I love super unique seasonal pieces that are runway bags or special finishes like sequin. I agree with those that say they make far fewer and if I see a previous collection seasonal bag in good condition preloved then I will sometimes buy them as they are so fun and unique. I really dislike the seasonal bags that look just like classics in cheaper looking materials and with poorer construction though (my probably unpopular opinion only). I would rather just get a classic

Just in case you were asking yourself, what bag we are talking about. I love the chevron, I love the leather, the color is perfect, so the size. I was looking for a Chanel bag on a secondary market and this is my choice. seasonal bags are now my thing
Also: FOMO plays a part when considering seasonal bags. We know there will always be classic flaps, minis, coco handles, etc, but the unique seasonal bags may not be repeated. Which is also nice knowing that it is not likely you will ever encounter anyone wearing the same bag as you. But the downside is it may trigger impulse purchases.
I love it! Navy is probably my favorite neutral, and I love chevron and a crossbody. I would grab that in a hot minute
Lately I’ve been more into seasonal bags. I like that they’re more unique and not as saturated as the classics (classics are still great, but imo it’s nice to switch it up sometimes!)
Buy it if you love it. If you love it, you’ll most likely wear it. Buying at these prices should be an enjoyable experience and items should used or admired (at home like art if you like). If buying to sell, there will definitely be some disappointment as you might not get the amount you paid. However, that is applicable to any type of purchase (cars, jewelry, clothes, etc.). Just wear and enjoy. We only live once and never know when our time is up.
By the way, I love both seasonal and classic bags. If you love it, buy it. Just make sure to wear it.
I LOVE seasonal bags. I've owned 6-7 Chanel bags throughout the years and they've all been seasonal. I have one CF but it's a seasonal gold color. They all go with multiple outfits and can be dressed up or down. I've bought them all preloved for great prices and had them authenticated. I like being unique and if I'm going to spend a paycheck on a bag, I don't want to have what everyone else has.
