All Chanel stores in Canada have sales. It’s 40% off. It includes shoes, some accessories (think costume jewelry and scarves)and clothing. Everything is 1+ years old. It used to be 2+ years, but I noticed since Covid they offer items up for sale much quicker than in the Karl days. (FYI The last time I saw bags go on sale was 2014. Never classics, just seasonal. We will likely never see it again)
The sale date is never disclosed publicly. Your SA tells you when it is. Note that some clients get to pre-shop the sale just as they pre-shop collections (this is my experience).
That said, the sale is open to the public once it officially starts. I shop regularly at Chanel in Van, TO and Montreal.
ETA: the last sale was earlier than usual (before Xmas). It doesn’t run very long. Items typically sell quickly. I bought items from pre-fall, fall and coco neige 2023 (but it may have included more, that’s just what I bought). The items are removed in time for the first launch of the new year. So I’m curious if this upcoming sale may be earlier too. I haven’t asked any of my SAs yet. I expect it to be soon. (All of this is solely based on my experience with Chanel Canada).

How is the selection like typically for sales, especially ready to wear? Will there be jackets for example?
I do not know the exact date, I believe it is this coming week, if not already. I always get to purchase sale items in advance and as I’m not in the country, I don’t know the exact date. As I selected the pieces I wanted awhile back now and “purchased” them last week, it must be now or VERY soon. Someone above correctly mentioned the collections on sale—24C 24P 24S

It's RTW and some fashion jewelry and maybe some things like scarves, etc. Jackets are possible, but I think they go fast. I've seen jeans, cardigans, skirts, t shirts, sweaters...
