Chanel sale

Didn't Chanel do a major change on pre-spend dollar amounts that dropped a whole lot of customers out of higher tiers? I'm not saying this is the case of your friend but I'm almost sure 57th street boutique pre-spend amount is way higher than any of the stand alone boutiques in Manhattan. Maybe this is something your friend needs to look into. I'm not sure how friendly she's with her Sa to have this conversation with.
I was with her when she picked up some stuff from the 23A collection earlier in the month and upon handing back her receipt I heard her SA tell her “Congrats I just saw from your profile your a VIC level now!”. That was when the Metiers D’Arts just launched so could it be that since she just made VIC it was too soon to be alerted about the sale?

It could be I'm not sure if the sale list for high tier clients was already established? Tell her to talk to the boutique manager and maybe they might accommodate her?

Hi ladies has anyone heard Beverly hill’s participating on the sale this coming 26? I was told by an SA they are not going to have a sale coz they just opened? Or maybe im not vic thats why the sa couldn’t let me know

26th-30th, mainly RTW, and your SA will definitely let you know/text you when you want to come in
post Covid, ive shopped every sale by appt. And for one of the sales, i believe last year, my SA told me
that each SA was only allowed to reserve two fitting room slots a day (so only two clients a day)
However, an SA does have some discretion as to whom she invites, and she is not limited to VIC only*

Somewhat OT, but dior is wrapping up its sale, and my SA there said they weren’t even allowed to confirm
with walk-ins that there was even a sale going on. Perhaps it’s the same with chanel these days, IDK

ETA: *I don’t think that VIC automatically means an invite (If your SA has only a limited number of slots
and they are already spoken for, then there may not be any more spaces). Nor do I think one must reach VIC
spend to be invited.

I don’t believe you need to be a VIC. I’m not even at Elite this year. I was told that VICs get first dibs and then they trickle down. If I get invited, it’s usually towards the end of the sale before it goes public/wraps. Last winter, there was no public sale. Generally they try to make sure the invite list is for people with history with the boutique…and the SAs get to put names on the list from their client pool.
Do you happen to know the spend thresholds for Elite vs VIC? The whole process seems so opaque.

I don’t, I’m sorry. I’m curious to know myself. There is a thread from a couple of years ago where someone discussed thresholds but I bet it’s outdated at this point. But I agree the process is opaque. I don’t go into the stores as much these days but I do make a point to shop with my SA every few months.
