My SA said a private sale
Looking at how little inventory was available in boutiques the past 18 months and the scarcity of certain items its no shock the sale would be very small which appears to be the case. Gone are the days of crazy queues for discounted items.
The SA who contacted me said it’s a private sale by invitation only. All UK boutiques are having them but the general public will not have access sorry.

Is it me that on various social media platforms I'm seeing a lot of ps with screenshots of Chanel sale items but not posting prices. Chanel is really coming down on showing prices even on regular retail merchandise on social media platforms.
I just got back from picking up my sale items (will post pictures tomorrow when there's daylight). Went to South Coast. There's actually alot of items out on display for sale...but the variety is limited. For example, there are racks upon racks of leggings/pants/bottoms. Less so for tops/jackets at this point in the sale period. The line was long for a weekday, but I do think its worth visiting if anyone is in the area. The shoe selection was ok.....limited in terms of styles/variety but there's certainly shoes in various sizes available. Alot of black boots (not quite classic styles in my opinion) and alot of those gold glitter sling backs. I saw mules and also strappy heels. Very different from last year when I was picked up mostly loafers and loafer mules. There were quite a few lipstick holder necklaces on sale too. And i saw a couple of necklaces as well. I didn't take pictures but if you're in the area....i think its worth a visit. 
There was a decent selection at hirshleifers. Some very old pieces. I saw a skirt from Hamburg. Didn’t see any shoes.

No lines but store was crowded and all SA were busy. I didn’t find anything to my liking, since it was crowded I didn’t bother to wait for SA either. Here are some pictures, lots of fur looking stuff and glitter shoes, patent/calfskin boots. I miss sales from back in days. If you are in area maybe try visiting.

In London the sales this year are invite only, for those shopping in Harrods/Selfridges you'll need an invite from each dept to shop everything i.e shoes, RTW/Accessories.
