Chanel purchase limitations within the UK

I do this but I find the double standards annoying as there are clearly others who are buying much much more over the limit and it’s okay
Isn’t the same with Hermes (when buying at FSH). People report rehearsing their spiel so they come across confident and knowing the brand super well to avoid being taken for a reseller and yet internet full of new Birkins with tags lol

Hi,

Is it true there is a purchase limit in the UK and is this adhered to by all stores?
Is there any way around this, as I want to buy something in the new collection but have already bought 2 SLG in the last 5 weeks.
Even more frustrating when each store holds different stock so I don't even know which store will have the item I want.

Thanks.

Yes that’s correct it’s 2 SLGs and 1 bag every 60 days. Your SA at your regular boutique can ask the manager if they will increase this and they’ve done it on a few rare occasions for me. If you see the additional item at a different boutique the manager there can agree without a transfer to your usual boutique and do a telephone order (if you’re not in London). It’s manager discretion really. It is frustrating as you see a lot of YouTube bloggers and Instagram shoppers clearly obtaining much more.

I would recommend that you get the item code of the additional piece you want. Either ask your SA where has stock and if they’ll do a transfer or telephone order or ring around the boutiques yourself. Good luck!

I had this limit mentioned to me yesterday, and I found it to be slightly awkward and offensive. The opposite of how a loyal customer should be treated... It would make sense if it were multiples of the same style or color etc. But I purchased 2 totally different bags in different colors (loved a few from spring collection and am now on a LOOOOONG ban hah)

officially yes, but I was in store this week buying a seasonal piece and there were 2 I loved. My SA told me you can appeal your case to them, especially if they know you and they are seasonal pieces. I think it depends on your SA and how well they know you. apparently grey market was out of control during the pandemic a year ago so they are super strict now.

They can waive this restriction if they want to. Last year I purchased a flap and then a few days later I found another bag I liked in another store. The SA had to call store manager, they checked my purchase history and then they allowed this additional transaction. Depends on the SA and on how many other bags you purchased recently.

Be extra nice, say that you really really need that second bag and they may allow it.
