Chanel PTT vs LV Petit Palais

Dear all, I am thinking of selling my Chanel PTT to fund for a LV Petit Palais. I fell in love with the Petit Palais when I first set eyes on it. However I am in a dilemma as the Chanel PTT is discontinued and if I ever regret selling it, it will be very difficult to purchase another one.

I would like to hear your opinions whether I should keep the Chanel PTT or to use it to fund for the LV Petit Palais. I am looking for a work bag and I feel that the Petit Palais seems more suitable for work. But I am still in 2 minds about it. Appreciate any opinions. Attaching a few stock photos for reference. Btw, which Petit Palais would you choose? Black or Creme? TIA!

I would sell the Chanel and buy the LV Petite Palais in black. All three handbags are beautiful, but in my opinion the black Palais is simple and has a neat appearance and looks most appropriate in a work environment. It also can be worn casually. Good luck deciding. Let us know what you decide to do!!!!

I love LV and don’t have any Chanel bags anymore but I would keep the a Chanel. for some reason I don’t like the design of the Palais. i have the Pallas bag which is similar and like that design much better..I don’t like when bags have those kind of zippers that go past the bag, if that makes sense?

I sold my Chanel GST for the Chanel Urban Spirit backpack, and I'm regretting my decision. My GST was in black caviar, and the backpack is lambskin (red). I've ruined the backpack with color transfer, so now it's just sitting in the dustbag and box, in my closet. I do, however LOVE the petit palais, but I'm very torn between that and the Fendi Kan I. I've never had a Fendi bag, so I'm really leaning that way. Also, my husband said, "You see LV everywhere, and not a lot of Fendi bags." He's right, actually. If only I can get both!

Hi, I have decided to sell my Chanel and get the Petit Palais. Now I am just trying to decide between getting it in the black or the bi-color tourterelle/creme. Hehe

Haha, yes I understand what you mean about the zippers going past the bag. It is quite troublesome to open and close it. But I realized that my Chanel’s zip opening is too small and everytime I want to take things from it the zippers will scratch my hand . This going for the PP since the zippered opening is so much bigger.

Your hubby is right! LV is definitely seen more often than Fendi out there. I think that shows that LV is more popular :biggrin:

I initially purchased the Grand Palais in black but found it to be much to big, but it’s perfect as a work bag since I could fit my laptop inside the bag. I returned it and got the petite Palais in the tourtelle/ bi- color. I love the color; that would be my vote.

I love the Chanel PTT. Its a perfect shoulder bag. It has a zipper compartment, and two slide pockets. I bought a preowned PTT last year and adore using it. Personally I would keep, but if you're not in love it anymore.

I just ordered a PP in tourelle/creme and it’s coming tomorrow! So excited! How was your experience with it so far? I’m a bit worried of color transfers :oh:

I have the Grand Palais in black empreinte abs I adore it!! It’s so classy and you don’t see it about much. I’m not petite so it looks good on my frame, fits lots (I have a toddler) and goes from work to weekend well!

The bag looks great on you!! I haven’t carried mine yet, I think I’m nervous about color transfer. I probably won’t carry it when wearing jeans.
