Rumor has it that Chanel is going to increase prices 10% and the remaining stock is being distributed out to all the stores for sales and distribution. Just and FYI...

This sounds like the opposite of what Chanel did last year before the price increase in the US in May... Last year, they withheld or limited the stock out in the market before the price increase, and after the price increase, the stores started getting their shipments.

From what I can ascertain it's only SAKS. The SA's were shocked to get their inventory in classics. I picked one up and selling off older bags...

I believe it's select stores where they have good volume. Again 10 staggering percentage points UP.

Well you're in the right place to buy a Chanel i.e. EU ratio to $$$ saves you LOTS of money. My BFF bought 2 Chanels in Spain last Spring. She said the cost difference was quite a bit lower then what she would have procured in the states.

I bought the SHW caviar Jumbo and quite frankly I'm REALLY REALLY happy I did. When you look at the bags YOU WILL KNOW. But I say take advantage of the situation and buy somethin!

Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how much prices tend to rise after an increase? I know the price over a year can rise as much as $500 or so, but that seems to be after two increases. Does that mean one price increase raises the price by around $250? Or am I completely wrong about everything? :shucks::oh:

Hello portraitofalady, I am also new to the Chanel game but I believe that a lovely TPF member had posted a graph showing the increases over the past 5 years which were very aggressive. Now as for last year the prices increased $500 on the mini and classics. Currently the prices for the mini have increased another $200. I am sure the ladies on here would be able to assist much better than I but this is what I noticed from the previous 2014 increase in May to date. Hope this helps.
