After this she became very "chatty"....here the main info:

- There will be a huge price increase soon on all classic bags (also the seasonal colors)

- also the GST and the WOC are affected

- she said that the GST will be discontinued also in Europe. But she doesn't know when!

- She advised me to buy Ballerinas soon


She knew that an article was published on Monday,that the prices in Asia has been reduced and that there will be a 20% price increase in Europe on April 8. But she has no further commented.

Thanks for the info! I wish I bought the GST while I was in France. Thankfully I was able to get my WOC there. I wish I knew when the GST will be discontinued back here in the US so I can purchase it before it is discontinued.

Chanel’s price adjustments will extend worldwide on April 8, the company said. The price of its iconic 11.12 and 2.55 bags, as well as Boy Chanel bags, will increase by 20 percent where they are sold in euros, the company said. Prices of the same bags in China will fall by more than 20 percent. Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Russia will also see prices drop, while prices will remain stable in Japan, the U.K., U.S. and Canada.

I heard this from my SA today too - she said the UK will not really notice too much of price difference and that it would be Europe who would notice it most x

In Australia, our prices were $2000.00 more than europe... which is an airfare... buy the second bag and the difference is accommodation... so for the price of 2 bags in aus you could have the same 2 bags and a trip to Paris

So true… its mind boggling how they work out their pricing:cray: I was planning to get my first classic when we got hit with that massive increase.

My SA at Rue Cambon confirmed that prices are going up on Boys and Classics in April throughout Europe. She said that we should expect 20-30% nothing like the previous years (though last year the 400-ish EUR increase was quite a lot in my opinion).
